January 23rd is the Chinese New Year, and we are heading into the Year of the Dragon. You guessed it, I will be 36 . . . *cough* *cough*
In previous years, I have seen posts hereabouts re: commemorative chips. Should any Forum members happen to be in Vegas on or near the Chinese New Year, I would appreciate it if you could pick up a few of the nicer ones for me. What constitutes "nice" I will leave to your discretion, I would be looking for 2-4 max. and obv. would pay you back (or even ahead of time, if needed). Obviously, it would help if you were reasonably close to Brampton.

I got a bunch of rabbit ones last year. They are typically in $8 denominations since 8 is consider a lucky number in the Chinese heritage. I was lucky to get most of mine through a friend that was there, but there were a couple I had to get off eBay/other sites.
The sites that does this and they typically charge $12-$15 for a $8 chip. I know it is a significant markup but I've heard that they're typically gone relatively fast so it might not be a bad idea.

Yes, we have. I got 2 each from Wynn, Caesars and Flamingo. Ash has a Wynn and caesars locked down, Wes a Flamingo.
So right now I have an extra of each. I think Greg has 3 Wynn and 3 Caesars but Wes has one of those spoken for.

yea u got it. The Flamingo chips are exactly the same as the Caesars chip with the exception of the flipside inlay. I think all Harrahs are the same.
Pretty sure that Moose and Wes are confirmed for Gregs, he may have a couple extras.
The oversize Wynn Baccarat chips are realllly nice.
Just wish they were gold like all the other casinos.

With the oversized inlay, there is not much "gold" to be seen . . . the baccarat chip from the Wynn is easily the class of the field. Thx for the "get", Wetts.
