  • sorry kristy but this is wearing my brain out. i doubt even if i read carefully through all of your posts i'd have a clue of what you're trying to say.

if you're saying raise-fold, that is just terrible. i highly doubt we can play postflop so short oop profitably so raising and seeing a flop is probably bad too.

the next person who says that I tolerate raise-folding, or am suggesting that you EVER EVER EVER get to the flop before putting all your chips in is getting stabbed in the eye with my stiletto.

And I hope that it is a lethal wound.

    Work on your reading comprehension.

This is probably the single most important piece of information that people who weren't there don't realize.
  • i still don't get it. you're saying shoving is not the best play. and you're also saying raise-folding is terrible. so you're saying raise to induce a shove from like 5 hands we're slightly ahead of or flipping, and the rest where we're crushed?

edit: i have no idea how wide he's shoving

Yes, because when we shove, (which is what you are advocating) We're only playing against hands that crush us.

We both want our chips in this pot, I want it against a wider range with a chance to win the tournament.
  • Kind of like a raise "trap". Fully prepared to play for all your gold, and hoping for it.
  • ok, how wide is bb shoving?
  • ps ok you win for now, i have class

pps 9bb cap hu for rolls?

    BRING IT!

To add..I'm not saying shoving is terrible, just that I think Nik's line is probably a little better.

    ( ) Insta-call
    (X) You can come and play at my game anytime

C'mon, I can't seriously be the only one here..........

    Definitely not

When you add that information it makes sense, but the OP stated "no real exprerience with the BB"

Damn..you beat me to it. This is a vital piece of info that OP did not have himself (which Kristy picked up on) that will affect the decision making process that goes into the hand.

I removed the experience factor as I wanted an explanation based on the odds....I believe the small blind had zero choice.....he had to call. If you knew the history of the bb you'd call even faster.
