Worst beat I've ever given.
I was playing in a 20$ 14 man home game a few weeks back. I played solid poker until someone drew out on me by calling my big raises on the flop and the turn to pair his over card on the river. At that point I think I was left with about 10% of my original stack. I pushed with 8 9 suited. Pretty standard, got lucky, flopped a straight.
Now still short stacked, and blinds were only getting higher... I pushed with a small Ace. A 6 offsuit.
I got called by bullets. AA. I was practically drawing dead already. I needed a miracle. flop came 8 10 7.... a gut shot straight draw. Even with that miracle board, I only had 16% chance of winning the hand. The mood at my table changed completely on the flop. It was not over, the goodbyes had to wait. At that point the people were cheering for me, calling out my missing straight card. It gave me hope, but I didn't get too excited about it. i knew it was very unlikely that I would hit. In a way I actually did not like the board cos I thought it was just trying to tease me.
The dealer looked at the next card before anyone else, He smiled and turned the 9 over, completing my straight. It was incredible. I've never seen a beat like that before. There is dominated and then there's this. I really had no chance....yet I somehow came up a winner.
At that point, the only thing that the pocket Aces could hope for was a split. He didn't get in on the river and i doubled up =D.
And how did I do at the tournament? I ended up winning it. =D

somewhere in Mac's neighborhood there are several rabbits with wooden legs. Nice drawing. You have to look at this way. How many bad beats have you taken? Exactly. It HAS to happen to someone sometime, this time is wasn't you for a change ;-)
Talk about a TSN turning point though!
