I ended up as the bubble boy for the money after my full house lost to quad 5s again! I was aslo bubble boy for a WSOP ME satellite last month, so instead of winning U$12,000 cash, I got a big fat zero for second place. :'( Online poker is rigged!

Congrats for winning that qualifier to the WSOP ME satellite, and good luck. Remind me to fold KK preflop in our Sunday Million.

  • you got to stop falling in love with those over pairs Buddy :) that's a pretty dangerous flop, for any single pair.

    They were allin preflop.

my bad; I guess a question to buddy, what would have been your play if the push came on that flop?

Kinda academic as with the blind/stack ratios it would be hard to imagine them not allin preflop... Are you saying some sort of a minraise/call scenario by a couple of weak players? They're both in on that flop in any case, at least I am either way.
  • compuease's answer is correct. But since pokerJAH's inquiring mind wants to know, IF villain makes incorrect play of not going all-in preflop and just raising 3x the BB and IF I make the wrong play of just calling, and IF I make the wrong play of checking on that flop, and IF villain wrongly goes all-in with the nuts, then:
you have to be pretty sure that villain has a tight range of {JJ, 88, 77, AA, T9s) since you only need 29% equity to make calling the all-in correct. Loose villain had a much wider range than that, including worse pair, flush or straight draw, so "falling in love with the overpair" and making the crying call would be correct given the shallow stacks.

LOL, I feel so vindicated.... thx Buddy, I think we're not so different in our poker tournament beliefs.. other than me being such a bankroll nit that is....

Ah yes. I turned my kings full against your flopped quads. Slightly different process but the end result is the same - not money in the bank.

Plus you play only pocket aces while I go all-in with 7-2! :D

Yep, and I get them at least once per orbit... That's why I can keep winning... lol...
