Beat 1-2 MGM

I will welcome the destruction about my shitty play but need to get this down to get it out of my system.

Sitting in the #1 seat (first problem) worked my $100 buy in up to about 310 before making a bad call with a new player about an hour before this one came up loosing most of my stack, I had built it back to about $175 when this occurred. One off the button, dealt KK, 4 callers I raise to $11 (pretty standard raise for this game) 5 seat calls, 10 seat calls.

5 seat fairly loose agressive, had a pretty good read at this point, 10 seat really loose passive he was calling raises with pretty much anything suited and any overcard, but calling down really light as well. He had gotten really lucky and built his stack up to about 500 after a couple of re-buys during the session ~ 4 hours here.

Flop 4h4c10d, 5 seat bets 25, 10 calls, I flat call.
Turn 5s, 5 seat bets 50, 10 calls, I tank know 5 is full of shit but clueless on 10, none the less I push, ~100 on top. 5 seat folds as expected, 10calls and turns over 74s. Turn blanks, I bust.

I can only think I should have raised more pre-flop and took down the blinds, obviously take any other criticism on the play following.

  • i have found that "live" once people become accustomed to a "standard" raise....some will call it with any two..just to see a flop...(this is a good thing)...in this case 11 bucks...already 11? in the pot..(1.5 blinds + 4 callers)..probably if you had went to 15 he would have thrown it..then again..maybe not..3-1 by the time it gets to him... bad flop for you in any case.

My .10-.20 game every week...typically after an hour..standard raise is 1.20-1.50 ..and it isn't uncommon for it to be 4way. While this is likely normal for those micro stakes...I see it at some of the 1-2 tables I play as well.
