And another chase hits

Was playing 2 days ago on FullTilt...Went to table with $20...built it up to $108...said to myself...ok..i will go bank this right before the BB gets to me. (My first mistake, but, with no antes i figure why not)
Table is 1/2 NL

Deal comes down...i get (Ks Kh)...2 limp in before me..i raise 4xBB..1 calls...other 2 fold.

Flop-- Kd Kc Qd
i bet $12...other player reraises enought to put me all in....i call

his cards show 9d 10d

Turn-- 4h

River comes...Jd

I flop quads, he chases and hits straight flush...i sit there in absolute wonderment as i watch my $108 go sliding over to him...and still can't believe it. Asking myself if i played that wrong, but i don't think so. Every player at the table is typing OMFG!!! along with me as well. LOL ..Oh well, next time...i bank sooner.

    Busted lol
  • I know ya need $40 for those tables...had it down to 20...got it back to 108...my appoligies for not laying out the entire process of my play at that table from start to finish. No matter what i load at a table, when it drops down...i always seem to go from that point on, if it then goes up.
So if i load $100 on a table...and steadily go down to say $40...then climb it back to say $120...i always say i took it from $40 to $120...this probably isn't "proper poker stakes etiquette" but its how i do it or explain it for online play. Same as live, even if i load $500....if my stack gets to $100...then i get it to $1k...i say i went from 100 to 1k...So when i say i was at a table with 20, it's what the low point of my stack was at before the climb. My Mistake...you can all chastize me now.
Such a tough group on here, next time i will refer to the "How to NOT get some of the members in an uproar" handbook before a post.
  • But you had said you went to the table with $20 instead of I was down to $20.
I went to the table = I loaded
  • In before BBCZ

Also, please post HH so we can revel in the badluckedness.
  • I know, i worded it wrong..which seems to be a trend for me on here...but i knew what i meant...even if others didn't. I will try to word things more correctly to avoid the confusion. For that table in particular, i had actually loaded $50 to begin with..was up to 63...then down to 20...before the upswing got it to 108...and yes i know i should have "banked" it...but...figured i was ok to go a few rounds before the BB got back to me. Then when the KK hit and flopped the KK...i figured a good time to hopefully turn the 108 to 150+...but...FullTilt had different plans for me...LOL I don't even normally play on there, but after i read in a post that they had better WSOP tourneys then the other sites...i went and signed up. Needless to say, i am still on the hunt for my seat. Came close...only needed one more win to get into the main event tourney yesterday...but when it got down to HU..i had Q 10 suited...flop hit QQx...Turn was x..other guy went all in...i called...he had QK...out in 2nd, only 1 place made it to main event tourney. Oh well, i'll reload on the site and keep trying.
  • Sorry Wetts, i am new to FullTilt and not sure how you get a copy of HH like i see the rest post, thats why i explain the hand the way i do.
  • What is your FT Username?

I will pull the HH from Poker DB, which logs every hand .50/1+ on FullTilt.
  • It doesn't just happen on the internet...lol

Last night, weekly tourney, 24 players... on the second table, 1 short stack goes all in for about 2k, second short stack also about 2k calls all in, and third player, who is new..has been calling everything...calls...

    Player A flips 10c Jc
    Player B flips A J
    Player c flips over 74o..lol

    Flop, 6, 8, Q
    Turn K
    River, of course.... 5

two players down..lol Not quite as good as a st. flush beating quads, but try telling that to the two knocked out..lol

Horrible luck but there was no chase. Looks like a semi-bluff went extremely right for him. Chase would mean, you bet, he calls, turn you bet he calls, river hits. He tried to get you off the hand on the flop. Obviously you're not going anywhere with Quads. Really unlucky man. That sucks!
