What A Rush

Monday morning, I decided in lieu of going to class, I would work out, take some vitamins, eat something healthy and recoup all the money I lost playing poker over the weekend. The big spike hovering between hands 136 and 151 was the biggest pot I've played to date.

The game was $2/4 and I picked up KK on the button, with a stack of $337.15 in front of me. I raised it weak, hoping to induce a re-raise. SB goes out, and the BB pops it up to $45. I re-raise to about $110. BB moves all in and has me covered. At this stage I figure if he's got aces, he's got me, but there was no way I was laying down this hand. Not after witnessing some very lose aggressive plays from my opponent. I decided to put it all in, making the pot $676.30. The flop comes down:

5s 6c Ac

3d

Jd

SB flips over QQ, and nets me a cool $337.15

Suffice to say, I more than recouped my loses from the weekend playing $1/2 and $2/4 and in the span of about 3 hours.
