I run goooooooot
Place: BCC
Time/Date: Tuesday Night after 10 pm
Location: 5/10 Limit table
I don't know why I remained in this hand this long except the main heroes (I had to be the villain here) were loose players who had been chasing straights and flushes all night.
I'm on the button, loose player ahead raises, it's re-raised by tilty guy to my right (been raising the loose players raises alot to try to isolate), and I cap with KsKh
5 callers.
Flop comes QdQsJc
Again it's capped with only one player dropping out.
Turn is a 10d
Again CAPPED at $40, and at this point I think think any of my outs come in, I should be good (no clue why I think so many stupid things), down to 3 players...
River
Kd.....
GOOOOT!!!!!!
Now all I'm thinking about is Flush came in, Str8's improved and may have got there (Ax anyone??), And I have the 4th nuts (quads, royal and sraight flush only beat me), River is just raised 1x by me, and I'm called down (pretty much sure I'm good)...
I flip KK for my rivered full house
One loose player flips TT for the turned full house
Very loose player flips Ad5d for the rivered nut flush...
I am pushed this MASSIVE pot and shout 'SHIP IT' which I hate and felt very D-Baggy afterwards, but I stack my chips through the next 2 hands.....
4th guy who folded the turn had AKo, this play makes no sense, if you are willing to call the flop, what card are you hoping to see? Probably the best card for you is the T filling your straight. He hits it and proceeds to fold. Only explanation is he expected 1 more player to drop out on the turn.
Anyway... Left up $417 for the night... Gotta love it when you are running well....

^^This is why I love live limit poker.:)
nh, sir
You and I have spoken about limit poker where I play before. This is the exception, not the rule for our location.
Profiles of a couple of players at my table (which made it like the Perfect Storm)
1) 36 year old twice divorced man who tended to get a bit tilty sitting directly to my right. He didn't like being bullied and often 3bet profile number 2 guy to try to isolate OR stop the guy from raising so much
2) Just retired guy who normally plays 10/20, thought nothing of dropping $200 in slots at a deck change. He played 90% of his hands, at least 70% of those for a raise. His stack yo-yo'd like crazy, he was up near 600 again when I finally left after almost going broke. On that same deck change, he made $500 at blackjack after he lost at slots. GAMBOOL!! He was hitting more than his share, but would pay you off on your strong hands if he didn't draw out on you.
3) Young guy who seemed to feed off player profile 2 (sitting just to his left), and got more and more aggressive as the night went on.
Player number 2 or 3 raised (or 3-bet) pre-flop every hand, and had shown down all sorts of crazy hands (85o which player 2 won when he runner-runnered 2 pair 8 then 5 and cracked A's that hand).
The combination of these 3 guys (and a few people who enjoyed loose calls), let you get paid off with monsters.
My other fav. hand from that night I was in the BB with Tc4c and it's raised, I'm up about 125 at this point and decide to try one crappy hand for fun.
I state "Prepare to be dirtied by this hand, you are all screwed and should fold now"
Flop - T64 (rainbow), I laugh out loud and say "SEE!!!!", and bet. I get 5 callers.
Turn K, I bet, am raised, re-raise (get heads up) and get called
River 3, I bet, call.... AK by pre-flop raiser goes down to the mighty Tc4c!!!!!!!
I just chuckle.. "that was dirty" to myself while I stack the chips....
Nice also. Note that if there are 5+ limpers you shouldn't think of this as 'trying a crappy hand', you should be calling 100% of the time. You have the odds to flop two pair or trips or a flush/draw. Just don't get married to a T52r flop.
I gotta get out there in the New Year........
You have demonstrated remorse, so well done.
However,
I would kick you straight in the nuts if you did this at my table.
On the flip side, NH!
Agreed, I hate myself a little bit more every time I channel anything potentially 2+2 related at a poker table....
Next thing I'll be making little empty checkboxes with the comment "you play well"
I'd be upset too, but it was technically a 3 outer, he could have hit another Q also. I'd have figured I had only 2 outs if playing though, and probably would have folded on the turn somewhere, and then puked when the river hit.
