  • If you believe re-re-re-raises are aces, it's a nice lay-down. Was the table aggressive all along?

What's rodders27 re-re-raising with?... looks like he's got quite the aggressive range there!!
  • IN a cash game that I have a bankroll to afford I don't think I make that laydown. I certainly wouldn't in a casino that's for sure. On stars I might put down AA because the QJ suited will hit the royal after I flop my set.
  • rodders27: calls $132 and is all-in
Uncalled bet ($56.50) returned to ariolis30
    *** FLOP *** [2s 4c Qd]
    *** TURN *** [2s 4c Qd] [9h]
    *** RIVER *** [2s 4c Qd 9h] [7h]
    *** SHOW DOWN ***
rodders27: shows [Ac As] (a pair of Aces)
ariolis30: shows [Ad Ah] (a pair of Aces)
    rodders27 collected $206 from pot
    ariolis30 collected $206 from pot

    KK vs AA vs AA

    Double rigged.
  • Nice laydown! I'd prob cringe as I did it, but with that many raises I almost have to think someone has AA.
  • Foolish laydown, u were practically the favorite.. lol... They were drawing dead.... :) Actually I have seen this live now twice(AA vs AA vs KK), both times I have had AA and both times the KK got his K... Once was at Buzzards where he and I had AA and carmaker had KK..
  • It's funny how position makes such a difference in your luck....you possibly go broke if you're the 3rd into the pot instead of 1st.

Double rigged would be a K on the river. :)

    Sweet laydown.
  • Aside from satellite bubble situations I can only think of 2 times I have folded KK preflop.

Once was on Party a couple years ago in $50 buy in NL about a month after I bought Poker Ace HUD. A guy with a VPIP of 4% who had raised pre-flop 5 hands in 900 reraised all in to an initial raise. His AA beat the other guys QQ (would have beaten my KK) and I remember thinking that Poker Ace paid for itself a few times over that hand.

Your hand is interesting without extreme reads like this. Part of me admires the fold, and part of me wonders if you would have posted the hand if it was another KK vs QQ or QQ vs AK :O

Would you always make this fold vs 2 unknowns?

Even with fairly unknown players, I think I may have had 50 hands or less against each, given the action I thought it was a pretty easy laydown.

Nobody else here drops this hand?
  • Easy fold IMO. But we're good players :)

  • I am no professional, so please take my opinion/s with a grain of salt.

If there is no collusion suspected here and the table has been playing pretty aggressively up to this point, then I think that it may have been a bad lay down. I just cannot see myself laying down pocket Kings in most pre-flop situations.

Imagine if all of these re-raisers had hands like A/J, A/A, A/Q, in this spot. I have seen this happen before. Now your Kings are stronger in this type of situation i.m.h.o.

I personally have called an all in -w- K/K pre flop against someone who ended up showing his/her A/A on more than one occasion, and I ended up winning the pot more often than you might think.

I might think 18% of the time. How often did you win?

I think that it happened about 4 out of 7 times for me within the last 3 years. But I am also a believer in 'luck', I seem to be luckier -w- pocket kings than I am with pocket aces. maybe it's just in my head.
  • This is a nice laydown....based on the situation at hand I think a high % of players on this forum would have done the same. It was nice of both players to telegraph their hands (well at least 1 for certain)

    Well played!
