The Rare Dry Pot Bluff Play

Logged into crypto saw a table pot average of $30 at a .1/.25 NL table, figure it would be interesting and filled with drunks. It was. In hindsight I probably should have played my hand.

As strange as this sounds, does this Jean fellows post flop play make any sense? Keep in mind that Pau guy was shoving every hand and dropped about 5-6 buy ins already so he has any 2 cards.

    Fixed your post.
  • If I thought it would isolate him maybe I would do that shove. Realistically it would have meant a 3 or 4 way all in pre-flop if I shove. Once Jean puts in $0.25 he is very committed to the pot (VPIP of 93% in about 500 hands of $25 to 100 buy in there late).

A 10 o just did not seem like an ideal 3+ way all in hand at the time.

It did make me wonder what should be a range of hands to play a full buy in with 3 ways all in against basically 2 random hands.
  • This is not a "Dry Pot". There's clearly lots of $$ in there worth fighting over on the flop.

You're confusing this situation with "don't bluff into a dry SIDE pot".

  • Yeah, yeah I know my phrasing was not perfect. Just seemed like a funny hand to post, that's all. I did not mind the guys post flop shove that much, though it probably is not winning the main pot too many times against any 2 cards with that flop even if the other fellow folds.
