200NL - Reraise on turn

jackhan is 15/9 over 137 hands for those who are keeping score.

I've played the hand a little atypical so I'm not looking for any comments on anything except where I stop the action.

Comments

  • i fold. why?

and how did you come up with the title for this thread? or is it a hint?
  • I came up with the title because

    a) I'm playing 200NL :), and
    b) he reraised me on the turn

It wasn't a hint. I'm basically left with either fold or shove. I guess I could have made it a poll but I'm not that fancy.
  • Could be a move due to your call preflop and weak reraise after the flop. Perhaps with two strong overs and/or the flush draw to back it up. I'd push back at you pretty hard here with enough outs if I were him.

Could also be trips or an over pair and you've got 2 outs. It's really hard to avoid going down to trips when you have an over pair.

This could go either way... without knowing the player I'd put it near 50/50. You've only committed $30 of your $200 I could justify folding here but the push is also justified.

Did I mention I hate pocket Js?
  • I fold... You may or may not be ahead... But when your not... Your crushed!!! Make it easier on yourselfvnext time and re-raise pre-flop
  • I eventually decided that the overbet raise was his effort to make me go away with his draw. I thought AdKd and decided my equity was enough.

    Here's how the hand finished.

    kelly_kabob: raises $94 to $192 and is all-in

I thought the King killed me.
I had to finish some action on some other tables but I had to check and see what he had.

    Anyone care to guess?
  • 5d 6d or pocket 10s or maybe even pocket 5-8s?
  • AdXd? Shot in the dark either the 4 or 5 of diamonds.

Second guess 3x4x and he was playing a wierd hand, the second nine counterfeited him.

    Third guess TT.
