Brag - Finally Flopped Quads
Local 1/2 Friday night cash game. Player to my right sat down about 30 minutes ago and has been playing very tight. He comes in for a raise of $8 and I am in middle position with 66. I flat call and there are two callers behind me (button and BB). Flop comes 66A. How pretty is that
BB checks and initial raiser goes all-in for his last $80. I'm kind of pissed because he didn't slow play his obvious ace. I start pondering a call to try and make it seem as though I have a weak ace and I don't believe he has a six. I finally decide to call and hope one of the other callers has a strong ace. They both fold with the really tight player admitting she had an ace and the raise was too big for her. I guess my only other option was to raise to try and protect the hand, which she may have perceived as weakness. Nice to finally hit quads and get raised into.
