All-in w/ Quads at Fallsview
My table had just broke & I got moved.
Sat down & got KK in the SB. Raise & get some action. I flop quads & decide to bet (yes, some of you will say I'm "crazy").
Flop is K K 3, I bet about 3/5 of the pot because this being FV, they don't believe you on a paired flop & will call with Ace high. At FV, std continuation bet doesn't get respect, you will get called.
Turn is a Q, I check to make it look like it was definitely just a continuation bet on the flop. It looks like I may be scared that someone had the K.
River is a J, I throw out what they may perceive to be a small blocking bet. Of course my small blocking bet gets reraised all-in (huge over-raise).
Yes, I know it takes 0 skill to flop quads but I do think far too often people insist on slowplaying a big hand to the pt they only get in a tiny river bet. In over 2.5 yrs of playing, this is only the 2nd time I've ever flopped quads, very exciting (I had to ask the dealer if someone said "all-in", as my ears were probably too full of excitement to hear properly).

happended once to me and I'm very happy I was on the good side of the flop.
Yeah, I was there too when quad Js lost to the royal. In my case, given the board the pusher didn't really have a big hand. He just way overplayed his straight.
That's bad for players.
I do not believe the rake is any higher with the BBJ in effect. I have always seen the same rakes all around. So regardless, they taking your money, but you don't get that little something extra.
I flopped quads a month ago with QQ in my hand. my girlfriend had AA. She was pissed.
2 years ago I flopped quad 9's. some mild betting through the streets. crazy action on the river. I was super excited by the all in. It turns out she had rivered quad 10's. She thought it was a boat until it was pointed out that she in fact had quads.
