FINAL game of the season!!! Allen still holds a nice lead, but it CAN be taken away from him. Should be a great game again this week.

  • Count me in as well AJ... but I might arrive just a bit late (coming all the way from down town) but I will be there for sure.
  • Hey AJ,

this kinda off topic for game 12 but how does the season finale work? $10 per missed game?

Yes. All players pay $10 for every missed game during the season as they're buyin for the SET game. So if you missed four games, your buyin is $40, missed no games, you pay nothing.
  • Due to the fact that the original owner of the cash table has picked up his table for his own game, we'll have to use the two small tables tonight. Looking at the players' list so far, that would 5 or 6 handed to start unfortunately, but we'll merge at 9 players.

Haven't heard from Max or Darryl yet, and a couple of others (Jeff!), but I'm hoping to get at least 12 for the game.
  • I'll be there AJ.
  • Count me in
  • Hey Aj, since i started coming mid season...do i pay for the games before i started coming if i wanna play in the final game?

Yes. That way, everyone is on equal footing.
  • Like that huh!

Hmm, i predict me winning top 2 tonight. I apologize in advance everyone.
  • Apologies not necessary. Just make sure you take the right shoes with you from the pile at the door ;)
  • Good lUck to everyone tonight.

Hopefully see you all at the SET next week

We KNOW you'll be back, Steve...if only to get some peace and quiet ;)

Congradulations, Dad!! All the best to you and your family from THE HILL!!!

Only 2 pairs are gona be there when i leave. Mine and yours!!

I'll even predict the winning hand... 8 10 off

Mike...are those YOUR shoes you forgot? ;) and guess who won!!

Seriously, Kris and Aaron rematch headsup tonight, but THIS time Aaron dominated the entire match. His chip lead was played extremely well against Kris, and Kris was not hitting cards to fight back with. Last hand Kris pushes for 2.5x BB with Q10, only to get called by Aaron's A10. Very well played both of you.

Darryl took down third spot tonight, and Allen was bubble. Tonight's Chump was Derek, but he had company very quickly. The suckouts tonight were absolutely brutal! And Dirty Sanchez was definitely the phrase...I think everyone got a taste of Dirty Sanchez at least once. Nasty game.

Its a pretty safe bet that Allen is the Season Champ. I'll do up the Leader Board in the next day or two, but his finish tonight would have guaranteed him his well earned victory this season. Great Season Allen.

Next week is the Season Ending Tournament. I will post here what your buyins will be for this game. Upon arrival, I'll hand you your bonus chips.

    See everyone next week.
  • I think he watches too much animal porn !!

Hey, i cant complain, i lost with pocket kings to 7-9 suited. But weve all been there and thats poker.

    Good game everyone.
  • Is this Aaron's first Ching Hill win?!?! I know he finished in the money before but wasn't so sure if he won it. In any event, congrats on the win Aaron..., played well that evening for sure! Deserving indeed.

All around it was a horrible night indeed! Still having nightmares about them 6s Derek! Just can't get over how I mucked them to Big Chris' pre-flop standard raise with 400 back! The respect I tell ya!

CALL DAMN YOU CALL! ARRGGGH..., And not to mention all those damn 6s showing up afterwards (ie 6-6-2-6, 6-6-J-4, WTF?!?!?)??? Oh well, hopefully I can bring my "B" game to the final SET and chop once AGAIN when we get down to 5! icon12.gif

    See you all next week.

    On another note....,

Don't really know how to word it but here it goes..., would someone be able to explain why you can't re-raise if the previous raise was not the minimum raise?!?!? This is in reference to the last hand I played yesterday where the raise was to $150. An all-in bet with $170 and comments were made where you can't go over the top and so you just have to call the remaining $20. Is this a standard rule?!? Just curious and need to sharpen up my understanding of the game in general.

    Regards,

The "donkey" with the damn 6s!

IF an all-in re-raise is not more then 50% of the first raise then the betting is not re-open.

For example if blinds 30-60. Player A raise to a total of 150. (A call of the 60 and a raise of 90).

    Player B calls.

Player C pushes all in for 180. Every one folds around to player A. (He called the 150 and re-raises additional 30). Because the re-raise was less then the 50% of the first raise of 90 betting is not re-opened. (At least a min of 45 so to a total of 195 would have enabled betting to be re-opened).

In the hand you got busted actually the betting was re-opened but I didn't want Justin to bet me out of the pot.

He min. raised to Blinds 30-60. He min raised to 120 (which is a raise of 60). I called, and you pushed all-in for 150.

Your raise was 30 more (which was 50% of 60) which would have re-opened the betting.

Dude, apparently you need to listen to more Iron Maiden. 6-6-6.... the number of the beast. You flushed the beast down the toilet with that fold;)!!

WTF? Holy shit am I glad I bubbled and left early. Looks like the cards ended early enough for some gross fetish sexy time party. Disgusting!
  • Ummm, 'bubbled'? Is that the new way of saying CHUMPED OUT??

'Dirty Sanchez'...(noun) a phrase created by Kris ACDC after someone makes a brutal suck out bad beat on a player with a solid hand, and reaches for a pot he/she had no right to win.
ex---Man, you sucked out huge...you Dirty Sanchez!

Yes... I was a little thrown off by the image of AJ being involved in a dirty sanchez and misquoted my chump position. Not quite as bad as misquoting the definition of a dirty sex act!

As for your definition.... or Kris' rather.... um, yeah.... a wee bit off. I cannot post such disgusting content here, so I will merely link to google links and you can see for yourself (the 2nd definition.... picture a big mexican moustache AJ, and then you will realize the 'sanchez' part of it!).

  • Okay, that was just f**king disgusting!

You downtown boys have double meanings for EVERYTHING, don't you?

DAMN that was sick! I honestly did NOT know the meaning in THAT context.

    excuse me while I hurl

Yes.... us 'downtown boys' are so inventive. Oh and AJ, if you start giving away free rusty trombones on Thursday, I no longer know you!!
  • Congrats Aaron!

What happened to Justin & Darryl? I thought between the two of them they had about 80% of the chips in play. Poker = crazy.
Oh well, hopefully I can bring my "B" game to the final SET and chop once AGAIN when we get down to 5!

The thought of the SET chopping at 5 out of 13 again made me throw up in my mouth a little. Play to win boys!

    Aaron happened.

Justin: Gets it in on a 10 high board with A10 vs. Q10 for Aaron. River is a dirty Q.

I get it in Ac5c against 22 and flop the A. Turn river are dirty, dirty, diamonds. Deuce high flush is the nuts.

Overall - an ugly evening. Oh, and another sick beat put on Garry.

Ah, that explains it. Duece high flush....that's just wrong.

And Garry gets no sympathy from me! He dirtied me twice with AJ - once when I had AK, the other time with KK.

I think I'm the only person in the league that doesn't suck out on Garry....instead, he sucks out on me!
  • I've updated the Leader Board thread, but I'll post it here as hell...

CONGRATULATIONS TO DARRYL!!! SEASON 8 MONEY LEADER!!

Darryl came out of nowhere suddenly with back to back victories as well as a couple of nice showings this season and it was enough for him to take the Money Leader title away from Allen. Who needs points anyway, when you get the CASH, right??

Great Season everyone, thanks for making it out.
