  • did you miss the post where 13cards said there is no more 1/2?
  • I don't think any of the Fallsview grinders bother to post on this forum (with possibly one exception), so I don't think you'll get any statistically significant sample sizes. You already know that the 1/2 at Seneca and Niagara are beatable despite the $2-$5 rake on every flop, so the fee/rake effect is less for 2/5 and makes it even easier to beat. I have a high win rate at Fallsview 2/5, but it will take a long time for the sample size to be big enough for you since I stopped going there last month.
Anyone here able to beat 9BB/100 hands session fees given such a small max buyin over a reasonable sample size?
Raising the max buyin to $1000 would make it 2/5NL good game!
The following are the minimum and maximum buy-ins at Seneca compared to Fallsview:
    - 2/5: $200-$500 (only $100-$300 at Fallsview)
    - 2/5(/10 bring-in): $500-$1000 (only $200-$500 for 5/5 Fallsview)
    - 5/10: $1,000-$3,000 (only $200-$1000 at Fallsview)
    - 10/20: $2,000-no max. ($2000 max. at Fallsview?)
  • Yes, but I feel that you are overlooking the availability of the games and who is playing them.

It doesn't matter that they've got a 2/5 $500 max at Seneca if the ave. 1/2 niagara player isn't good enough to BEAT it when the good reg. are all sitting because there isn't a bigger game running. (which is everytime I've been there but once)

Someone with more Seneca experience can let us know for sure, but Seneca skilled regulars>Fallsview reg.s/tourists imo and the OP was about playing 1/2...I'm just pointing out that FV has a very soft 2/5 game, and could be more profitable for him.
