  • Good laydown, bad luck on you hitting the flop.
  • thats unfortunate, good fold though.
  • Are you sure its the right fold?

    A 1/4 stack squeezes, I think I reshove there.
  • That's rough, but in the long run it is +EV
  • i have no idea why u would reshove, good fold

Could be a squeeze, or not. He moved it so I would give him credit for at least a hand you are racing with at the minimum unless he's a very laggy player. And...1010 is not a hand I would like to reshove with in this spot.
  • I admire the way you played this hand. I get myself into trouble with hands like this. I would have reraised to isolate the ¼ stack because it sure looks like a squeeze and with just a flat call and an overcall, I wouldn’t have given Kelisitaan or karolinjp (both large stacks) credit for real strength and I’m only a real dog to an overpair. Of course, I would have been wrong and sucked out to win this one anyways but, the fold was definitely the safe play here. Just too bad you had to see how it would have played out.

Would anyelse have played it the way I would have? What should I be thinking in this spot? Go ahead guys, rip me to shreads…
  • Well I already posted that I would consider reshoving in that spot. Not saying its necessarily the correct decision, but definately worth thinking about. Then again I play only 6max. Here are my reasons:

    - short stack shove, definately squeeze looking, TT > than that range.
    - can't really expect hands like QQ/AK to call behind, must have been a really passive table.
    - you strengthen your UTG raise and should force the other guys out

Why are these tables so ugly now, 6/9 short stacks? nasty.
  • I was almost the exact situation this weekend in a home tourney.

Down to 5 players, top 3 get paid, and I'm the short stack by far, about 12BB's left, and I'm the SB.

UTG standard raises 3xbb...UTG+1 3bets on top...I look down at 1010 and decide to push. UTG folds, UTG+1 calls with KK...out in fifth.

One of the players already knocked out commented on how my push didn't make sense. I commented that I was short stacked, and lookign to double up now before the blinds increased again, needed to risk it. I don't think I made a bad move, just bad timing that's all.

    Good fold, folded.

Nevermind. After rereading Harrington's Vol 1 Squeeze play (page 206) I can see it's a clear fold unless I'm holding KK or AA.

I agree...6 max I will definitely think about a reshove. I thought I put that down but I guess I didn't. But full ring, I gladly fold
