  • I had something similar happen in a live game...

I raise PF, he calls, flop comes rags, 2 hearts... I raise, he pushes all in, I think... and call.... he has KJo (black).... turn's the Jd

    Whoooo

    Mark
  • Summary: Hero goes all-in with high card and loses.
  • Brutal call... hits a 3 outer (well prob more cuz he could have got runner-runner flush)... wow! Just remember that will be +ev 99% of the time... tough beat.
  • What made you think you had him beat with Ace high? Was he playing like a maniac?
  • I don't like the play of this hand at all, especially for a $5 sng -- if you think he is stealing preflop then push over him. Making high-card calls isn't the way to make long-run profit in low limit sngs.

He was in every hand just about and every time he showed down had just what he showed this hand Q9-KQ range. As for the preflop raiser he plays the exact same way and was raising just about every other hand.

Against any one else in this hand I wouldn't have made that play, obviously hate getting my chips in on high card but I thought that I would be able to take it down post-flop without any action.
