  • Low stakes, that will happen lots of times.
  • even at .10/.25 thatd a pathetic move
  • I would say you did the right thing and just got called by a fish. You were not offering proper odds for this player to make the call and he called anyways. I can't see your hole cards but I assume he was behind. Welcome to the world of poker variance. Time to change your header to " Results Oriented Player"! Move on and hope for more of these calls in the future. This is where a lot of money is to be made. You want these calls (so they tell me).
  • my method maybe too passive, but to each of his own.
I am never a big fan of using my stack to protect my hand.

    1. he call your flop bet. your tptk ain't so pretty now, donks will call raise with any two sooted card. even 23 sooted. he has a) made hand, b) flush draw.
if he has flush, then you are drawing dead, if he has flush draw, he is got 9 out, your hand will hold up 75% of time.
he could also call your with mid pair or bottom pair.
    2. why bet the turn???? you over estimated the strength of your hand.
i would check the turn to control the size of the pot, and value bet a safe river.

I didnt underestimate the strength of my hand, I was 4-1 and i knew i was in the lead and knew he was drawing i didnt want him to have the odds to call.
I'm not asking for advice on this hand, i played it well enough to get all the money in with the best hand, and i got drawn out on, period.
