<beat> sickest I've ever had!

Savvas has been playing like a maniac all night....I had a nice little run against him and he kept getting more aggressive. He was primed for a trap and then this happens.....

Getting rivered is fun for the entire family!!
  • I don't think his call is all that bad to begin with. He was small blind in an unraised pot.

Hitting his trips though meant he was probably going to see the river.

A beat, yea...a bad beat? Not like the first hand you posted though.

    Ain't Omaha a bitch???
  • I agree it's not nearly as bad as the first but he knew I was not an aggressive player. I only push in that spot when I have the nuts. Which he had witnessed already.

There was NO way he thought he had the better hand. I put him on KQ so I underestimated his strength a bit from 4 outs to 10 so I take some of the blame for the overbet although he was pushing in behind me anyway.

He may have thought you had the better hand AT THAT TIME...but don't forget that Omaha is a drawing game, and if he thought he had outs to a BIGGER hand, he was right to call.
