pkrfce9 (in his mind) says "you shit eating donkey rapper"

after the hand, i may have uttered a "hee haw". his sage response "my play speaks for itself". i was wondering what exactly it was saying. perhaps "i'm a donkey. take all my money"?

the bastard left a couple of minutes later before i had a chance to get it all back with interest.

  • Doncha just love it!

    Make it $6.75 preflop.
  • Why so surprised? Obviously you haven't been on The Hill lately to defend your title. Crap like that has been happening since game one...but he's in Cuba this week, so maybe it won't be so bad ;)
  • He tried to buy-it then got sucked out... that sucks.

    Cosign a bigger pf bet. Though I'd like your sizing in a live game..where you'll see the reaction to the flop.

    Does anyone like a flop check here with pf action what it was? Were you looking for the shove when you lead out $7 Greg? I can't shake the feeling that I'd rather be first in on a c/r OR leading out a reasonable turn than calling that all in.
  • Hey Greg...think I found your leak

  • i suppose i could have gone a bit higher PF. (live, i would more likely have a read and have no issue getting 20xbb in there against the donkeys you run into. i would also expect 2 calls...)

    i didn't want to chase all of them out and i figured at least one would call 5 but ya, 6.75 or so would work too. i also thought AA would have re-raised here (but without a read i would probably pay him off anyway). (note the donkey with 8.00 who calls 1.50 but folds for 5. i should have gone to 4.50 hoping for a call and a push to re-open the betting.) villain just calls and donkey folds so going to the flop, i'm pretty confident i'm ahead. i put him on some kind of mid-pair or reasonable Ace. soooooted cards are always possible but god help him if that is what he thinks is good hand in this situation.

    that was a good flop for my hand. i want to build a big pot here. no reads so i'm pretty much committed to paying off AA, 22 (hee haw) or some hand with a queen and i'm going to make everyone else pay to draw out on me.

    i'm not big on trying for a CR when i don't know my opponent. so i'm not willing to risk giving someone a free card here as any Ace, heart or 7-J leaves me wondering if i am still ahead with a big chunk of my stack not yet in the pot. in retrospect, i should have made a larger bet - something around 10-11 but i was a bit greedy and hoped he'd call with a weaker hand and i thought he'd likely fold to a pot-sized bet.

    when he pushed, i was getting just under 2-1 and i figured i was ahead of his range so it is a relatively easy call.

    pokerstove says:
    Board: 2h Qh Qs
    Dead:
    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 68.956% 68.33% 00.63% 51409 473.50 { KhKs }
    Hand 1: 31.044% 30.41% 00.63% 22884 473.50 { 77+, AJs+, KJs+, AJo+, KQo }

    we can argue ranges i suppose. i would expect him to push any queen, possibly a strong heart draw and then there's the random hands like a mid-pair if he thinks i'm folding to any push anyway. in reality, i was something like a 90% favourite. <3 stars

    ya. somebody ship me 5k so i can move up to 1/2. i hate trying to play within my roll...
  • your range is effed for sure. In absence of info we should presume he's not retarded.
    Edit: and presume that he puts you on 'not retarded' also in the same blackhole.

    (sorry about the bad beat btw..forgot to say that in my first)
  • lucky river :) you got your money in ahead. Not much you can do but wait for one of the 69 out of 100 times that you will win this hand. Its only variance, not to worry.

    Maybe you would be interested in one of my new t-shirts: "I fought variance, and variance won!"
