Bristol St. Classics XXXVIII, XXXIX - Tues, Dec 4th, Wed Dec 5th
With the 2007 Season coming to a close, we have two tournaments for points remaining. And they will be played... "BACK 2 BACK"
The Bristol Street Nightclub and Casino presents...
: :h: THE BRISTOL STREET CLASSICS XXXVI:d:II, XXXIX:c:
No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournaments
Wed, Nov 7th - 7:00pm
(doors open at 6:30pm)
$20 Buy-in Freeze-out each night (+$10 Back2Back Side bet**)
$$$ Pay-out $$$
1st place - 45%
2nd place - 25%
3rd place - 15%
4th place - 10%
5th place - 5%
4000 chips, standard Bristol Street blinds and rules regarding late players.
**BACK 2 BACK Rules
If a player plays both tournaments they must take part in a $10 side-bet. The money is collected and paid out based on consistant finishes as follows..
25% to a player that wins both tournaments.
25% split between players that make the money in both tournaments
25% split between players making the final table in both tournaments
25% split between players earning PoY points in both tournaments.
If any category is not won, the prize money is moved to the next lower requirements. (eg. If only one player makes the final table in each tournament, they'd take home 75% of the side bet)
If no-one makes points in both tournaments, 100% of the side bet will be paid out to the player that had the best overall average finish.
If this sounds a little confusing, this is an example that might help...
20 players end up playing both nights which creates a $200 side-bet pool.
Players A, B, C, D, and E each make the points both nights and evenly split the first 25% ($50) to earn $10 each.
Players B and D are eliminated before the final table, so A, C and E each earn 1/3rd of the next 25% ($50 which becomes, $16.66 per person.)
Player E is eliminated on the Bubble and so A and C split the third 25% to each $25 more each, but neither player wins both nights so the 25% reserved for the common winner is split between them again, for an extra $25 each.
By the end of the night each player has earned..
A: $76.66
B: $10
C: $76.66
$10
E: $26.66
As always, tournaments at Bristol Street are rake-free. Current points standings can be found on my website!

Al
Tues for sure.
Hey Al, I'll pool a $10 bet with you.
How about it Zithal? - Team Play!
I kinda like that idea.... Sure, why not.
If you can only play one evening, you may "Team Up" with someone that can only play the other night.
Al
Mario too
Mark
Both nights.
Thanks
edit: due to my ex-husband's fervent douche-baggery, and the fact that my attendance and non-attendance at Dec. 1/2nd local LEGAL tournaments has appeared in sworn affidavit material pertaining to my divorce...I can no longer attend poker-functions. However 'my friend' Allen Smithee will be there in my stead, please sign 'him' up.

stp
If you can fit me in tonight I'll be there too....also late due to weather.
Thanks.
Sean
THanks Rob
Bristol Grand Finale, here I come!
Mark
Action slowed a bit as the format seemed to turn to deepstack poker. In the end the money finishes were..
1st: "Dirty Whore" Mark
2nd: "Zithal" Rob
3rd: "Peteski" Pete.
All three of those players are in the Back 2 Back challenge. Joining them are "stpboy" and JohnnieH who made the final table. (Due to the low turnout, the amounts have changed to 50%: Final Table, 25%: Money, 25% 1st.)
Also, unless 29 people sign up and Alan Smithee plays and takes down the tournament, "ItsaMe" will win the 2007 Player of the Year award, joining "Redington" and "Moose" in the previos winners list.
First break, tonight, is when late players are cut off and attendance is finalized, so the Official announcement made be made tomorrow at 7:20pm.
The points on my site are in desperate need of updated, so if needed, I'll updated the finishes during the first blind level tomorrow.
