Late players: If you know you're going to be late, please phone and a seat and chips will be set out for you and you will post blinds and fold until you arrive. Players that are late that haven't let me know will give up their seat to the next player on the waiting list. If there's no one left on the waiting list, late players may buy into the tournament during the first level (20 minutes), but must immediately post the big and small blind if the blinds have passed them.
Waiting List players: Players on the waiting list will fill no shows at the start of the tournament to a maximum of 32. The remaining players on the waiting list are alternates. During the first four levels, when a player busts out, you have the option of joining the tournament at that point with a starting chip stack.
The tournament will last approximately 5-6 hours. Seating is limited to 32 players with alternates. (8 max tables) Please reserve your seat in advance!! The final table will form with 9 players left.
Blind schedule, chip values, rules, etc, etc, will be posted at my place, or you may msg me for specifics.
As always, tournaments at Bristol Street are rake-free and this tournament will count in the Player of the Year race.

P.S. Let me know if the new Waterloo liquor store carries any beer you can't get at your local. I'll pick up some on the way.

I predict that I won't repeat my previous masterful performance! 2nd last is my goal.
Question for people; is it appropriate to have the High Hand Jackpot count for an Omaha Event? (ie. Is it more likely to hit a jackpot, or is the fact that you have to use 2 cards hand / 3 hand board a balancing factor?)
Thoughts??
Or better still, it should not count.
Or you could have it so it builds and do something silly, like $5...maybe that would be fun. Sure some would win, but it would also build it for future events.
Also, I don't see the defending champ listed, so save a spot for Mario!
If you do a high-hand jackpot, do a one-time, separate jackpot. Omaha is more likely to develop high hands, since people are more likely to play their hands...
Look at the Royal Cups... the last few high hands for Omaha have been straight flushes and four of a kind - never less.

Plus, I'm putting up 5.00 on the head of DrTyore for whoever bust his ass, cept if it happens to be Haddon...he'd get 10.00
Thanks
Man. I take one night off of poker to watch Casino Royale (ok it had poker in it) and I almost miss this.
Since it is Omaha, I might expect a 4 way allin with A high flush, two FH and a SF.

Oops sorry I don't think you can disagree with that.
