Well Matt Savage is the nuts, having already responded to my first email.
He said that Matusaw was not issued a penalty. Had any player (Raymer included) or the dealer called him to the table, "action would have been taken." And in this case, felt he should have been informed, regardless of the television coverage. He said while television coverage is a growing presence on the tournament trail, they have no bearing on the enforcement or decision relative to the rules of play.
In my response back to him, I speculated whether or not the dealing staffs, as thin as they've been stretched with the growth of poker, are really prepared for the "15 minutes of fame antics" that the television inspires and whether or not that makes it more difficult for them to make the call and/or know when to ask for assistance on behavioral issues.
This is my first post on the forum. I'm so nervous. Just kidding.
If you guys are as impatient as I was to see this year's WSOP you can download the episodes. However, it's quite a song and dance to get them and it will take some time and computer memory -- but well worth it.
-First, download the free program "Torrent Storm" at www.torrentstorm.com
-Open and install the program
-Then go to http://tracker1.alienchick.com/
-Under search, type in "world series of poker"
-Download the bit torrent files of the episodes you want (this file will be very small, about 50K)
-Open the torrent file and it should show up on the Torrent Storm program (if not, right click and "open with" Torrent Storm)
-Right click the file in Torrent Storm and select "Start Transfer"
-It may not begin downloading immediately, but it will eventually
Each episode is about 450,000 KB. They cover all the preliminary events (e.g., Razz, Women's championship). And each day of the main event. I only have up to the fourth day of the main event (when Dave was at the feature table), so maybe the last two days aren't posted yet. Check out the pot limit omaha w/ rebuys tourney. The guy who won it was kind of a donkey. He was misreading his hands, he didn't know the rules. Then in an interview he says, "I want to be the best poker player in the world -- so far, so good." Give me a break.
After regretting selling my "money shirt" I was in San Francisco store today and they had a bunch at 1/2 price! I bought two.
At last, the worrying can end, and I'll get a good night's sleep, armed with that knowledge.
You sold the money shirt? If you posted that info., I missed it. To whom did you sell it (yes Scotty it is indeed awkward to actually use 'whom' in a sentence), and why? And for how much?
Also, is 'San Francisco' the name of a store, or are you actually in San Francisco?

I sold it at a charity auction -- along with authenticating photo, autographed book, and magazine subscription.
Anyone want a money shirt? I can get more. $14 plus shipping. I accept neteller.
