Kitchener Seneca Casino Satellite

Seneca Casino in Niagara Falls(US) is running a Tourney on March 11th. It's a $540 (US) Freezout with a reasonable (for a casino) blind structure. All the info is right here: http://www.senecapokerrooms.com/tournaments/spc_ontheborder.php (blinds for the seneca tourney are 30min)

I'll be running a satellite to the above tourney.
Sunday Feb 25th at NOON is the time. The buyin would be based on the number of players. I won't run this with fewer than 10 but would rather have 18. With the exchange I expect the Satellite will require $650 CND or so to pay. This means a buy in of $75 with 10 ($100 to second) all the way to $45 with 18 players (650,100,60) I know this is steep pay scale but ALL players will own 2% of the winners action.

The sat will have a T5000 starting stack with a generous blind scedule. (I've received permission from Beanie to copy his blinds) The tourney will start at 12 noon!! Please arrive early so we can get the cards in the air by noon! I do plan on attending the final tourney and cheering on the winner, so please make sure you are available for March 11th!

  • How many hours would it take to get from the GTA to the US casino? Does anybody know how long each blind level is?

By the way, many forum members will be busy on February 17 and 18 (West Side Poker Club and Pirana Poker Olympics).

Like Acid said, it's just accross the bridge from Casino Niagara. As for the blinds I've sent an email to Seneca to get this info. We'll see. I'm guessing still 20 min blinds. As for forum members being busy....that's why I want the feedback. If I can't run it on those dates.....I'll try something else. I am open to suggestions. Friday works too..........as does the following weekend. But I won't change any dates till I get enough people to actually play!
  • I would probably be able to make it on February 11, 24 or 25. I can ask other people if they're interested. By the way, is a Canadian passport and no criminal record required in order to cross the border now?

Would it be acceptable for the winner to have an option of playing in another casino tournament? If I had a choice, I would rather play in the $500+$50 tournament at Point Edward Casino on March 8-11, which has a bigger prize pool and seems to have a much better structure.

Sunday the 25th is the date. 1pm. Canadian passport is not required. Criminal record would be a problem if anyone new about it. As for the winner picking the tourney, I'd rather keep it to one option only to prevent confusion as to the winner's responsibilities. Also I would have to readjust the prize pool and payouts backwards from the winner....not something I'd like to be responsible for. First and foremost I want to have an enjoyable tourney with some good poker (and a bad beat or two of course). That's the priority.
  • I am interested in this, can you PM the directions

I'll try and put this in the right order....

    7th Brent
    6th nik
    5th Blondefish
    4th Liquidfire
    3rd Mike Perry
    2nd Mr. Heffner
    1st Ian

I think that's right. and for a memorable hand, let's see. Ian with a massive chip lead put's Mr Heffner all in on the Turn with a Q,10, 6, 4? board. Mr Heffner calls with A-7 for nothing but ace high....Ian turns over J,2....for even less! Dirty river.....2. Maybe it was on the flop....either way a great time had by all.
  • Thanks to 800OVER for hosting a fun and well-structured tournament. I look forward to your WPT satellites.
Good luck to Ian in winning money for everybody. :)

  • Thanks Blondefish, you're welcome anytime.

Everyone hang on for the outcome....
  • I see a refund coming our way! LOL.
