Good fold? Bad fold?

Can I call the reraise? Obv I would just push there rather than call, it's the same thing really. I was semi prepared to call the initial bet of 500, but when the other guy came over the top with a reraise of 500 more, I had to fold rather than chase. In the end it wasn't so good a fold and I was crippled after that.

I can't see pushing all in with 2 other players in the pot and me on a draw with only the river to come. BTW, in no way did I think my 9s were any good.

  • MDSGuy, your fold was correct. With the reraise, your pot odds were 3.4:1. You only had 10 effective outs or less (up to four K, four 8 and two 9), so your odds of winning were only 4.2:1 or worse.

    With the actual hands, your chances of winning were only 19.0%. Had you reraised all-in, I believe your EV = 0.19 * +3,660 - 0.81 * 1,380
    = -422.

By folding, your M was in the Yellow Zone (9) so you still had a chance.

  • MDS, given how the hand played out it was correct to fold there. I may have baring any reads, checked pushed on the flop, or at least bet out the pot hoping to take it down there. Out of position I hate playing draws by calling I want to be the aggressive one or get the hell out of the way. Just my thoughts.
  • I agree with joe, on that flop i'm probably check raising a significant amount or check raising all in... as it stands you have to fold on the turn. How are you cripled, you have 1380 and the blinds are 50-100?
