As much as I prefer no ante's get used to it. Ante's are a part of most high profile tourneys. Better to get your feet wet in a cheaper tourney before you get stuck in a more expensive tourney.
  • I"ll try a few satillites, let me know where. Make sure you respond to my new user name can"t log on with my old one
  • FYI, Did u buy a seat yet ?

The poker room supervisor at Fallsview said last Saturday that there was only about 50 seats left for the CPO. He reccommended buying one ASAP.
  • Sombody e-mail were this will be played (glassballs7@hotmail.com)
  • The blind/ante structure is great as it is very similar to the WPT. In fact, it is a slower structure with the addition of the $250/500+50 (7th) and $1000/2000+300 (13th) levels. I would sign up for this if I wasn't playing at a couple of freerolls for a WPT seat this weekend, where they have prepurchased a $2,700 seat. As Shopsy2 mentioned, make sure that the $2700 seat has already been purchased, as I have been told that the 300-person WPT Canadian Poker Open (CPO, not CPT or Canadian Poker Tour) is completely sold out.

  • the seat is being picked up later today. I was assured that I will have the seat voucher in my hand by 10:00am.

It is not sold out as of this posting.

  • Hey Brent,

is there an option to take cash prize instead of the voucher?

    Hey Romer,

If all goes right today...You would have to take the voucher back to the falls and get your money back.
  • I phoned the WPT hotline early in the morning to see if I could buy the $2,700 seat and two employees said that they are no longer selling the seats. According to 13CARDS in another WPT thread, a voucher has no cash value at Niagara Falls.

I was planning to play at their casino soon, but I just saw on the Weather Channel that there was severe weather and low visibility at Niagara Falls! :( If WSPC somehow managed to buy a seat today, I may be willing to buy it from tomorrow's winner. Good luck!

  • I got a message this afternoon that Casino Niagara still has 30 seats available but these cannot be bought, only won through the remaining satellites. Is this tournament a go?

  • I got a phone call early this morning and have been told the seat voucher will be on site today. If you are looking to play in the CPT, I do not think there will be a better opportunity to win your seat. West Side Poker Club has always given you the best play for your money.

A couple of things to note.

    1) It looks like we can't get in the venue until 10:00

    2) The first satellite will go when we have an agreed upon buy in of the players. If eight guys are ready to play we can go with eight. and divide the cost.

    3) I will do this right up until game time. The last satellite will start at 12:30pm

I will see you all there

    Brent

The main event will start at 2:00pm
  • Good luck to all those who are playing. I wish I could be there but due to prior committments I can't.
  • Who won the WPT seat?
  • The seat was won by a man named Ron. It was for the CPT event. Thanks to those who game out. It was a good day of poker.
