So there I was, feeling a little excited and, if i am being honest, a little anxious, to play in my first live tourni in 4 years.

10, 000 starting stack. UTG+1.
Look down to 55. So I raise to 150.
Button +1 raise to 400. BB calls.
I am beat but I have decent odds to call.
Flop - Jc 9c 5c.
I bet 1200. Button+ raise to 3600.
BB re-raise to 6000.
I am done so i fold.

The hand plays to showdown:
Button+ shows 99 (flopped set)
BB shows Ac Qc (flopped flush).

I lost the minimum on that hand. I think.

Second hand of note was my second last hand.

New table, different players.

150/300 + BB ante. I have 600 invested before the deal. (Also have about 50 BB)
I am BB. Fold around to Button. Raise to 1200.
(Decent player. Like to play position. Decent range.)
I looked at AQs. Push all-in. Snap call.
Button has KK. I Don't improve.
Basically finished at this point.

I am kicking the rust off my brain pan so any thoughts would be appreciated.

Second hand he made it 4 bb, and you make 50bb roughly. Do you find out the same info 10 -12 bb reraise leaving you 38-40 bb if you choose to fold. Im assuming if your allin is called your behind the majority of the time. 38 to 40 bb is still alot of play.

Yeah. After more reflection I came to the same conclusion. A simultaneous result of impatience & math-brain fart.
