Just came back from church to ask for a HABS victory.

Habs Numerology
Last game Jesperi Kotkaniemi (#15), in his 15th playoff game, scored at 15:15 into OT on the 15th shot of the OT, and ended with exactly 15 minutes of ice time
It only gets better:

Now that is cool... who went to all that trouble? Obviously a habs fan but really?

You can bet it wasn't me, but yes, it was a Habs' fan. It was done by a guy on a Habs forum I like to frequent (guys like you would be zapped if you tried to get on the forum :P). They guy's from Nfld and he's a bit of a stats geek.
Edit: the stats geek says he didn't come up with the data, he just re-typed it. I don't know where it originated but it is cool.

Do you believe in miracles ?
Holy cow. 2-0
Go Habs Go.
Trade Mathews, trade Marner, fire the G.M. Fire the zamboni driver, fire the guy that washes the jock straps.

Where are all of you LOSER leafs fans at ????
Brian, perhaps we should take a drive to some the members houses and drop off tissues.

Ode to the Leafs
(Edited to improve the flow  )
The outlook wasn't brilliant for the Habs that Thursday late in May:
The series stood 3 to 1 for the hated Leafs that very day,
But Armia scored one early, and shortly after scored one more,
And by the end of one the Habs led by a 2-nothing score.
KK made it 3 to nil with a solo effort in period two
And the Habs looked like they finally figured what they had to do.
But Hyman popped one shortly after, putting the Leafs on the board.
And Muzzin took care of the rest as two goals in the third he scored.
With OT in the offing and the Habs defeat in sight,
Suzuki took it upon himself to put things back to right.
Two kids determined not to lose broke down the ice early on,
Cole to Nick to Cole to Nick and in: the Leafs comeback was gone.
Two nights later, back at home, the Habs once more faced fate:
Lose you’re out, turn out the lights, til next year you must wait.
This time things were different as fans were at the game
And cheers rang down upon the Habs as on the ice they came
From 2,500 throats there rose cheers and a lusty yell;
It rumbled through the stadium and through TV screens as well;
The singing of the anthem could be heard throughout the land,
The voices rang out loud and clear, they did not need a band.
The Habs began the game like banshees, pouring on the shots;
Making the Leafs look like pee wees and tying them up in knots.
But no goals came as play slowed down and things seemed settled in,
And more the same in period 2 despite the fans unending din
But come the third things turned around as Nylander bumped Carey Price
Off to the sin bin for his nasty play and to the PP for the Habs: so nice!
In no time flat the Habs cashed in as Perry brought home the mail,
Followed by a Leafs’ challenge that was obviously destined to fail
With another PP and pressure on, Marner sent the puck awry
Leading to a second penalty and Leaf fans mumbling “Why?”
With 2 men up and more pressure on, Toffoli quickly scored again
Habs up by 2 and on the way to T.O., or so it seemed right then.
But the Leafs stormed back and tied it up with less than 4 to go.
Off to OT once again for the Habs against their hated foe.
This time the Leafs were adamant that they would win the game
With pressure on and shots galore, flying out of the gate they came.
But Carey Price had more to say and kept the Leafs at bay
Til once again the kiddie corps decided to have their say
Dermott coughed up the puck and Jasperi quickly snapped a shot
That finds the twine at the back of the net and the Leafs surge is all for not.
Back to T.O. the deciding game on that fateful Monday eve,
Just one more game, one more chance, one more time for all to believe.
Would the Leafs prevail and win a deciding game as they seldom managed to,
Or would the Habs come through and bring it home as they often seem to do?
The game began quite slowly and the chances were quite few
Close checking and tight quarters and nothing much to do.
But things turned round and the pace picked up as period two began
Soon Gallagher lights the lamp: the action really picked up then.
The Leafs began to circle and Price again does shine
How long could the Habs hold off the charge and not cross that penalty line?
Oh boy, oh joy it’s not the Habs but Engvall who heads to the sin bin
And the Habs waste no time to make him pay as off Perry the puck goes in.
Come the third the flow does turn as penalties hurt the Habs
Fast of foot and circling round the Leafs keep up the jabs
But not so fast say the resilient Habs, we’ll not fold the tent tonight
We’re tougher than the pundits thought and we will NOT lose this fight.
………………
Oh, somewhere in this favoured land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light;
And somewhere Habs fans are cheering, and somewhere children shout,
But there is no parade on Yonge Street — the hapless Leafs have again struck out.
The Prophet 22
Well all I can say is we aren't the Cubs we are still counting.
I have never seen a team up 3-1 with a chance to close it out at home play with such a lack of enthusiasm as the Leafs did in all three games. The Leafs need to clean house in the front office including the President. I will say this as I told people when it happened, to chose Kyle Dubas over Lou Lamoriello would eventually haunt this team and I believe it has been proven to be true.
I maintain the Leafs gave this series away as opposed to Montreal winning it. Not sure if rust will creep into Winnipeg game. But the Jets win the series in 5, 6 max.
Onto the Jays (who are in need of a manager by the way because this guy doesn't know what he is doing)

Couple of comments I've seen online today:
What a shame. All those front line workers in the stands, and none of them could stop the choke.
They could have Heimlich'd everyone on the Leafs bench and it wouldn't have helped... Also Nurses don't do heart transplants.

Are you leafs fans waiting around at the local golf course to get an autograph ?
