Card Dead Final Results 10. Comp (Yes, really!) 9. DJ 8. BlondeFish 7. Gwen 6. Pimp 5. Niks1 4. Card Dead 3. Mathers $600 2. Gogie $700 1. EdtheTed $800 We had 10 players total and the group agreed to allow 1 rebuy per player for 3 levels, so we had 14 total buyins with a prize pool of $2100, which equated to payouts of $1100 and $1000. There was lots of action early and often as there were 5 bustouts before the end of level 3 and 4 rebuys. It was a pretty even heat at 4-handed until Ted’s Q5 bested Card Dead’S QT on a 44Q5Q board, which was ultimately the hand of yhe night., and left Card Dead crippled with 6 BB and was out the very next hand. At that point the 3 remaining stacks were relatively even so the players agreed to a 3-way chop based on chip stacks. Overall, it was a fun night, as always. Great Game Everyone and thanks for coming out.
Gogie Glen, Thanks for hosting a great event. I had to struggle with Pimp on my left and Card Dead third to my left for most of the night - they both liked to take advantage of my conservative play and consistently re-raise my tentative raises. And of course EdtheTed delighted in sucking me along for most of my chips early on, forcing me to be one of the 4 re-buys. Once Pimp and Card Dead fell by the wayside I was able to lockbox my way into the money. Thoroughly enjoyable evening and a great bunch of people to play poker with.
EdtheTed Thanks so much for hosting. It was a great tournament with solid players and we had some laughs! Awesome prep for WPT in a week. Hope to play with all you folks again.
