Has anyone taken over 10k across? is it as simple as just declaring it on the form? Do they ask many questions? I'm just picturing that scene in the movie 21 where they try and smuggle the 200k or whatever on the plane lol.

Yes. Fill out the forms. Sometimes they ask for a bank receipt showing the cash coming out of the bank sometimes they don’t.
Always declare, you don’t want the hassle of getting a very difficult secondary inspection every time you cross the border.
They are generally very nice until you try and lie to them.
This is year I spent way over the limit on a heterosexual men’s purse and a bottle of cologne. I declared it showed the receipts at the border and the guy said thanks for being honest and let me go. I was close to double the amount allowed.
