I guess in this instance somebody saying I'll take them doesn't stand up against a price inquiry from another member. Even after a telephone conversation between the seller and myself in which I indicated I would purchase, pay and pickup today. The seller approached the buyer twice after the original telephone between us to get a commitment from the other member to purchase. Seems shitty to me...

The member has the right to sell to anybody but seems like a weird stance.

The quantities were significantly different than posted (now corrected) but if you strongly want them we can talk about it next time we meet.

I screwed up on the quantities listed, as moose states. The differences are now corrected in the OP, and moose and I have come to an agreement to resolve same. That aspect of things is now resolved to both our satisfactions.

Woog30. I am sorry you feel like you have missed out. As I said on the phone, moose was first in with interest, and I did not wish to simply take the first firm offer without giving him a chance to clarify his interest. I suppose I could have tried to instigate a "bidding war" to maximize my price, but that is not who I am. As I said, and you agreed to on the phone, I would give moose a short time to confirm his interest and proceed accordingly. I even shortened the timeframe for that, at your request. As moose got back to me within minutes of asking, I made the choice I felt best, in the interest of "fairness", if that can be said to apply in a situation like this.

I am sorry if this upsets you, but I have to do what feels right to me, which I have done.
