The value of being a 'WPT Champion' is clearly 0 now if it wasn't before.

WPT and the host casino should facilitate chops but leave a significant portion up for grabs HU.

It's not WPT that doesn't allow deals. It's the regulators that doesn't allow a deal to be made

im not sure if "do as you please" is acceptable here....POY points may get compromised because one guy tanked ...I guess by the letter of the law it may of been ok, but buying a title looks real cheesy to me..

Agree. Was just wondering if he is a factor in POY and if there it's any value in that award.

Are you sure? I'm not saying you're wrong as I have no idea. However, I have seen comments like this in the news (taken from highstakesdb):

"[FONT=&quot]Although no heads-up deal was mentioned (the WPT do not officially allow 'deals' in the same way that the EPT, for example, do) it became very obvious that one had taken place when play restarted."

AGCO is super strict with their regulations and the casino does not have the ability to deviate it's payout structure (or anything else that was submitted in their proposal for that matter) once it's approved.
