I've been living in Mississauga the last 2 years and spent a lot of time playing at Niagara Falls. The 2/5 and 5/10 games there were quite nice, especially during weekends. It sucks that the newer room got split up and limited to 5 tables, but even still I find the action to be mostly very good.
We are moving to Montreal in January and I was wondering if the day to day cash games there are on par with Niagara? I have been to playground twice and both times thought the cash was very tight and slow compared to Niagara Falls. Plus the rake is a lot higher. Obviously the room at playground is world class and you get what you pay for but my question is from a strictly $$$ point of view are Montreal cash games grindable at the 2/5+ level? The extra rake and tougher opponents makes me question it but hopefully I was just unlucky with my small amount of time played.
Thanks

All things being equal the rake will kill you in Montreal unless you plan on becoming a fat alcoholic, but then that will kill you too.

I've never played at playground yet, I'm also curious about this. The casino downtown is probably your better bet to grind out a decent win rate. The action there seemed fairly soft. Dont remember what the rake was it wasn't as high as playground though
