Home already. I end up winning between 2nd and 3rd place money....

but

here is the hand I get knocked out with. Playing against an old lady regular that chases straight and flush draws like crazy.

I have pocket Jacks she has pocket Tens.

Flop is 7 2 6 rainbow. I bet , she re-raises and I go all in. she has me covered.

I am happy to see I am way ahead . turn is a 9...... hmmmmm she now has a gutterball. but I still have to be at least 80% to win the hand.

I cashed out .... no 4th spin . took the money and ran.

I met Funkycoldone on the first break and I think I saw the prophet but he may have busted before the first break so I didn't get a chance to say hello.

Good luck Funkycoldone......... he had a very healthy stack when I left. hope he can win this thing.

Variance seemed to have caught up with me this weekend. I did place 2nd at the Cave for $300 on Friday night, only played 20 minutes in the cash game before it broke.

Then I went to Seneca and dropped two buy-ins before crossing the border to play at Casino Niagara at about 11pm. Nothing eventful happened until a wild maniac sat at my table and thankfully to my right. He was raising to $30 or more preflop and when he got under $200, he'd go all in blind. I just played the waiting game.

Then, when he went bust, he immediately bought back in for the max. He went through over $1000 in less than an hour. When he needed change for a $500 chip and had to go to another table for it, I asked for a table change and sat to his left, but requested a seat change button and was soon on his right.

He was a nice enough guy and knew exactly what he was doing and the image he was creating. And it loosened up the rest of the table, alot. After changing tables, and getting on his right, I won a few nice size pots and found myself over $500 in short order.

After his 4th buy-in at the new table he ran his stack up to about $1000. He straddles and I just call UTG for $4 with Kd-Kh. 6 callers and it gets back to him and I know he is going to make a move, like he has all night and he makes it $100 to go. I 3-bet it to $300, everyone else folds and he ships it all in and I snap call.

Flop is Ad-Jd-Td - Pretty good flop for me, considering we flipped the cards and he has Qc-8c. So, I'm really only worried about a 9 and the other King left (guy to my left says he folded a King). And I have the nut flush draw.

Turn is a 7s

River is the case King, giving him a straight.

Sometimes you should be careful what you wish for.
