What's your opinion on timing tells online? When playing I pretty much know within a second what I'm going to do but I find myself automatically tanking for different amounts of time to give my opponent the image I wan't him to have of me at the time. I feel like if I always acted quickly, my image as percieved by them would be different.
what are you thoughts on timing tells?

Depends if the other players are 12 tabling or not. If so, they have no idea how long you are taking

They work but it depends on the player. Sometimes u gotta figure out if someone's tanking for real or if they just aren't paying attention to the table.
When they're actually tanking its good info though. I once played against someone in a small stakes game who would frequently tank-shove rivers as a bluff. I took 3 Buyin's off of him just by snapping them shits in two.
Usually if someone tank shoves, unless it's an exception (see above) i find that they almost always have it

Not so sure about online but live I try to take the same amount of time, cept for preflop folds... Online as DJ says, so many multi-tablers that it seems useless except for the exceptions. ;)
