Hi everyone!

My name is Joe, I'm 24 years of age fairly new to the poker scene. I hear Canada has a great one so I'm glad to join the party (a great poker scene that is). My poker experience extends to numerous "fun games" with friends and family and two trips to the local casino where I first lost my $60 buy in and followed it by only losing $13, cashing out with $47. So I was happy with that for now. Breaking even or turning a profit, I can save that for later, haha. :cool:

If you get a chance check out my post I'll be making shortly in probably the strategy section or wherever about a question I have that was prompted by an interesting situation I confronted in a heads up match with my younger brother.

Either way, I hope I find this poker community pleasant enough and I hope you don't mind having me around. :)

And nice signature kwsteve. Never thought about it, but I guess even moderation should be relatively in moderation as well. Overdoing things can sometimes be beneficial assuming you're not harming yourself or anyone else. We gotta live a little right? Go all-in sometimes for no reason at all! Lol, maybe not...

Welcome new guy. Since you play niagara I assume you'd be ok with a $0.50/$1 home game. If Milton is within your driving distance then check out my game and put a few faces to names.

Thanks pkrfce9, I would definitely consider a local home game, seems like a cheaper option too especially according to the details Card Dead provided. I'll let my buddy that I usually play with know because we've been looking for good local games. If I do the math, I would assume a min. buy in for a 50cent/1dollar game should be in the $30 vacinity and max at around $100??

Well that is rather simple from you IP location, no trick to that. ie just knowing where in Ontario you are narrows it down so we can guide you the right games is all. No harm intended.

Just kinda wanted to say hi to everybody and let people know I'm still alive. Haven't been as fiercely into poker as I had been but I still love the game of course and would play any chance I get, assuming it doesn't cost any more than $5. :p

But really, for whatever reason I haven't played any semblance of poker or even watched poker online in too long. Just five minutes ago I dealt a couple of mock hands and a metaphorical weight was lifted off my shoulders. Life's just better with poker...
