Greetings - Canadian Poker Inter-League Championship

For many years now, I have wanted to see a forum in which some of our thousands of poker league players across Canada could compete. I recently pitched the concept to 888 Poker who have always been supportive of grass-roots poker in Canada, and they agreed.

Sunday, May 31st at 8pm EDT on 888 Poker. For every 100 entries, 888 Poker will award 1 WSOP package, (to a maximum of 4). The winner(s) get the buy-in to WSOP Event #57 ($1K), plus $1,500 for travel and hotel expense.

The buy-in? ONE BUCK.

If a player from your poker league wins a WSOP package, 888 Poker will award your entire membership with a private, members-only $250 Freeroll Tournament in mid-June.

I hope you share my vision for an inter-league competition and help me get the word out to league players! If you are a local league organizer, feel free to contact me to ensure your members can play this event.

$1 buy-in!?

if this is true i will create an 888 account to play this. what is 888 getting from this to be giving away $2400 for free per package?

i'm assuming that we need a minimum 100 players in order to have one package, correct?

Minimum of 50 actually, but it is my hope that we get 400+ entries so that we can max out the prizes they are making available. I have been working with 888 Poker in my poker league and they understand the importance of supporting grass-roots poker in league play.

Get 20+ players from your home league to play this event and they will give your league members a private $250 Freeroll tournament too.
