Introduce myself I'm new obviously haha :) My name is Pat I'm 26 been playing poker for 8 years now and my experience is about 98% live brick and mortar and 2% online still don't have a credit card which would explain that but when I do get money on stars I make it stretch for a month or two until people flop quads on me 4 SSNG in a row and wipe my bankroll. Anyways long story short I'm here to better understand the game and hone my skill as I've been consistently unlucky with my style of play and now that I've slowly been picking up the math am getting more frustrated because I keep getting sucked out on by people who play j4 off hit 2 pair on the turn against my nut flush and raise me all in and hit that 4 like its the only card left in the deck. Anyways I hope to hear from you guys my degen is going to need the support lol

Welcome to the forum. My experience online is well documented in the Brag, Bad Beat and Variance thread. I have seen every type of suck-out and bad beat possible.

With that said, the key to playing online is bankroll management and volume. You have to have enough buy-ins to weather the bad beats and play enough games to over come the variance.

I get that feeling alot lol. I'm from Ottawa I play a home game every week that I crush between 7 and 10 players 20$ buy ins unlimited for the first hour and a half, first and second pay usually 400 up top and half to second depending on buy ins. I actually have to dump money to these guys once and awhile so they don't kick me out. I play at lac leamy as my local casino but make trips to playground when I can to play wpt satellites and try and live the dream. I play 1/2 nl and stay away from 2/5 because its the same 7 guys at one table but that's about it. Went to Vegas in July with DirtArse and he raped me in cash ps he's also my uncle

Yea DirtArse is my uncle and we get along pretty good, I've only met buddy once at the aria 500 in Las Vegas but it was just a hello and handshake as he was involved in a hand

Thanks for the info :) I was playing ssng for 1$ and hovered up and down my original buyins till I suck out 10 times in a row get frustrated then play a 15$ to chase the loss and blow the bankroll. I'm working on not being a degen now lol
