Why would you walk away from poker when you are doing so well?

Meh, I was thinking of having other life priorities after WPT FPC 2015 and passing my poker torch to somebody else. For years, I would procrastinate stuff in order to grind the online games as much as possible while they were so juicy, then when online finally slowed down for me, I was as pleasantly shocked as actyper that the live poker scene in Toronto & area is booming with over 50 tournaments/month (many sold out) :o and even juicier than it was back in 2009. I have made even more money playing in local casino tournaments the past 1 1/2 years than online (just like DirtArse, reibs, etc?), :cool2: so I procrastinated stuff again.

If the MTTs at Woodbine will sell out as I expect just like at Rama, GBH, Fallsview, Brantford, Mohawk, Western Fair and even CNE Casino, "cheers: then Woodbine can surpass Fallsview as the place for live grinders to make a lot of money. Any time that JimmyHo will ask me about going to Woodbine, I won't be able to say no!

Update: I stopped by Woodbine last night, and the poker room thinks the MTTs won't start until December.

How did the $100 Woodbine game go? It was dead on Wednesday night with only three tables, a lot less than GBH on a tournament day, where a forumer had to wait hours to get on the cash game.

It was good. I was pleasantly surprised that it played a lot like a manual tournament. Also, I liked that they've upped the stacks to 15k from 10.

Also, they filled it, so it was a max prize structure.

I finished 6th for no cash, but Wetts was still in when I left.

Yea, I failed to win HU.

This was my first electronic MTT, was a bit surprised how much I enjoyed it.

But the field was really really strong, so none of you should probably ever go.

Don't know if you were joking, but I the field was stronger than I expected, overall.

Did the old guy to your right make the money? At the 300-600 level he had <1bb, and was up to 13k by the end of the level and then at 25k by the end of the 400-800 level.

It's $200 + $30. They're are still figuring out the "logistics".

If it's structured the same as the tournaments on the electronic tables at Western Fair, it will be a $220 + $10 deep stack with 15,000 chips to start and 30 min blinds.
