I don't know what to think about the homeless guy part of the story.

Part of me thinks, hey what a nice gesture that you could help the guy out. The other part of me thinks, what a fucking idiot. I'm glad it worked out well and it's a great thing you did. I was waiting for the end of the story to be, you came back from the casino and the room was filled with homeless people and crack whores, the TV was gone, safe ripped out of the wall, bar fridge empty and everyone eating steak and lobster from room service while wearing your clothes. Now THAT would have been an epic Vegas tale!

Perhaps. Coaching is not the same as cheating on my books. One gets you a talking to. The other gets you kicked out.

The dealer did mention to the BF not to give advice during the hand, and was nice about it... another player not in the hand was more vocal.
