Itt I spoil the end of How I Met Your Mother

This was never a show I cared much about, so I waited for it to come on Netflix..
GW and are I were watching it together, but I put it on to re watch a few episodes I fell asleep during, and "accidentally" finished it.
Now I have to be secretly sad for like..a week until he finishes it.

I called the Mother dying years ago, but I always hoped I was wrong.

Here are things that are as sad as I am...

You should watch the second season of American Horror Story. There is absolutely not one single morsel of happiness. Naray a kind word, a smile, a pleasant gesture, nothing. Every time you think something positive happens they turn it around into an absolutely depressing, torturous horrible wraparound.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great show. But upon the ending of every episode during the second season, my wife and I would just stand up and walk away to quietly do something on our own for a while until we could later console each other and discuss what we'd just seen.

worst ending to a show ever (granted, i don't actually like the show).

they filmed the last episode (the part with him talking to the kids) at the beginning of season 1 so they had to try to stay true to that ending. hence, all the stupidity that took place. (sorry if i'm upsetting you. i'm in a bad mood today.)

One cute bit...my teenage daughter watched the end a while back, and when she heard I was watching the ending today during nap time she timed it so she could come and hug me after...because she knows that I'm an epic movie/tv crier.

Maybe I can buy her the sad puppy, make a shirt that says "apples are awesome", give the kids ice cream, and turn this thread in to a happy epic win for all..

Electric can opener won't work, you're gonna have to use the manual one. You're gonna cut your hand, drop the can of soup. Dog's gonna come in the room and eat the soup off the floor; you're gonna realize it's cream of mushroom soup which gives him the shits because he's allergic. You're gonna realize that was the last can.

Now you're not going to be able to take a nap because of how hungry and frustrated you are over what just happened.

I liked it... probably because I accepted they were going to force tedxrobin down the throats one more time.

However.. fuck that last season was pretty bad..such a waste.. the first half should have been all wedding with the second half dealing with everything we saw in the Finale.
