GTA Poker;382685 wroteThis thread relates to the winner of the deepstack ME in Calgary. One of the biggest donators in Calgary cash games wins the largest tournament of the series. Should I tell him now that he is a losing player or after he dumps all of his winnings back into the cash games:)
We'll prob let him play ^-^
The idea is their are two types of these players. Those that play for the fun of the game, within their means...and those that pour their life into a sinking hole with false delusions of grandeur ie the belief they can out play Negraneau.
I conject, contrary to popular belief, if we build the economy of the game based on the latter type, it will remain sick in a way most players don't even realize...
yet if we base it off profits from the former, it might lead to a better form and economy of poker.
It's definitely counter intuitive to current perspectives such as "don't tap the glass".
A change in this context might have an effect on the general attitude of pros, for example ones that refuse to talk to the media after a big win (where as in other sports it would be the "classy" thing to do).
