Blue Water Classic XVII - November 13-16, 2014

It's back! The seventeenth Blue Water Classic at OLG Casino Point Edward will be on November 13-16, 2014. The buy-ins are $1,000 for Friday and Saturday. I'll post the details as I find out.

Aside from the rebuy satellites at Point Edward, there are excellent satellites at Western Fair Racetrack.
- $100+$10, 9.1% rake.
- 10,000 starting chips.
- Saturdays, 1 pm, until November 9.

Quick clarification note for Western Fair, the satellites start at 12 pm, not 1 pm. They need a minimum of 10 players to run the satellite. Unfortunately, I don't think they will be running with a noon start time during the summer :(

The tourneys at Western Fair are a great structure. 20 minute blind levels on electronic tables = at least 45 hands per hour. Lots of play here.

Who told you it was noon? Both the website and poker room manager told me it's 1 pm. IF there is any support from this poker forum, it should be able to run a satellite with at least ten players.

I was told noon start time when I was there Friday night. I am going today and will reconfirm.

I agree with you comment about support. I will find out today if the satellite ran yesterday. I hope it did but I have my doubts. I suggested they move the start time to around 4 pm. I play the regular tourney almost every Sunday and lately they have been pretty dead. One Sunday we only had 8 players and that was the $230 deepstack event.

I stand corrected. It is in fact a 1 pm start time. The satellite did not run yesterday. Only 4 players showed up.

If anybody notices the satellites at Western Fair or Point Edward have started running, please post.

Western Fair has yet to run one. Not enough people show up for the Saturday 1 pm start to run it. I have been speaking with the Poker Room staff, suggesting they move the start time to 4 pm, and to run a satellite anytime there is player interest. So far no luck. The staff are in agreement with me, but its the higher ups who are resistant to change.
