I will be hosting a Poker Tournament on Friday, May 9, 2014 at a banquet hall in Vaughan.

- Ticket price is $125 included with your ticket is Full Bar, Buffet Dinner and a Seat at the tournament.
- Re-buys and Add-ons will be available
- Cash prize payouts are based on entries
- 50/50 Draw at the door
- 15 seats remaining
- each table will have a dealer
- 50 players max, quality of player range from recreational to regulars.

Yes, I think he wants and needs viable information. If this poker forum is not
prepared to engage him in debate he will go somewhere else. Just because this is
his first post doesn't mean he doesn't want a debate or valid input. You have to
start somewhere.

From my understanding, what he is doing is illegal, period.

But good luck, the OPP might miss this one. It is a one time thing.

Thank you for your comments. I do realize the legality of doing this. I am more than comfortable in having a debate on weather this should be legal or not. We all know what the laws are in Ontario. I have been playing poker for a number of years now and this would be the second tournament that I have done like this. It's a well run tourney in a very nice venue with food and drinks and dealers for each table.

Not legal, but not likely to run into any problems, either. From the sounds of the OP this is likely going to be a one off event (stag?).
