I hate being forced to contribute to taking money from the poker economy.

Is there any way to get rid of a jackpot in a casino. Can you opt out?

After Fallsview replaces its bad TD/CSM, I'm willing to go back there for the first time since WPT FC and try to opt out with you.

I was at Yellowhead here in YEG the other night....there are 4 jackpots capped at 20k each, and that is all the fish were talking about.

Of course not, the terrible BBJ transfers millions of dollars from both skilled and unskilled players to a FEW LUCKBOXES. Just look at Casino Brantford's Hall of Fame @ https://www.olgpoker.com/winners which shows the biggest winners, but instead of the The_Game, hippopotamus, Waltsfriend or other skilled forumer ever showing up there with their first-place tournament win, it will always be the luckbox BBJ winners. :-( Poker is already a tough NEGATIVE-SUM game, but after the horrible raked BBJ was introduced at horribly-managed Fallsview Casino, there was a smaller percentage of winners, with the casino raking an extra 10% from the millions of dollars taken away from players.

Seems like those BBJs are really small...

I know here in BC the Jackpots get really high and it is all anyone talks about these days when talking about making a trip to the poker room "oh my jackpot is at 300k we gotta get out there!"

Of course recently too most casinos in the area switched it making it even harder to get.

logically i dont like them, but they are OK for room action, i do enjoy the fish enjoying them. also im up a ridic amount from bbjp lifetime, so im kinda biased, but its still money off the table so it sucks.

That's correct, along with Chris & the two Niagara casinos, the four of you have benefited the most from the terrible raked BBJ, but since poker is worse than a zero-sum game, it has come at the expense of ReefAquarium, me & 99% of other players who have donated over $1 million to the BBJ. :(

I was playing at Brantford about 3 months ago at a NL 1-3, and had A - 2 in hand
flop came 2-2-2 and knew I had part of a bad beat although it didn't work out I
got a payout of $100. I thought that was pretty good, no matter what you guys say.

I look at it just as an extra although their take must be enormous.

Are the odds better at slots or bad beat?

And where did that $100 come from? Paid for by the players, every single hand, and a hell of a lot more than $100.
