If he is leading with 78 he is probably going to call your raise, you have the Ah. If he is bluffing with a random hand then let him keep bluffing, he is probably drawing dead. If he has a 6 or small pair then why not let him keep betting? Also you are in position, I prefer a flat in that spot.

personally I like the raise there. There are a lot of shitty turn cards in the deck and smooth calling is winning one more small bet at best. Philli was just unlucky that there wasn't a hand there to pay him off.

I like the sizing too, I think a lot of the time villian is going to shove back over the top of you with 77 - JJ for you to snap call - Not to mention the chance he might go nuts and ship it with a flush draw/straight draw/overcards/etc. I'd much rather get it in on the flop and you eliminate that possibility by closing the action.

I think someone who would 3 bet flop 77s-jjs there is very spewy specially early in the SNG. Someone with a flush draw, open ended would call the raise here. I personally would flat call. Usually when people lead in this spot they double barrel. Flatting would keep all his range in, small pocket pairs, over cards, back doors etc etc that are drawing very thin vs AA. I would raise/jam the turn instead. If I had TT here i'd raise that way i wouldn't give equity for over cards that would suckout on me.

Also having Ah is a big bonus to just flatting since even if he had a flush draw that would hit, we can redraw to a bigger flush or boat. villian only has 16% of hitting a heart on the turn anyway.
