Folks . . . if you all wish to keep posting in here, feel free. This will be my last entry in this thread. After the passing of my Father in the summer, I find myself not wanting to bother with anything related to the subject of mortality. It has been somewhat of a downer for me coming to this thread to add names, even though my connection is of a tenuous one at best. I have tried to be a more upbeat person over the last few months, and this sort of thing just does not help me do that.

Sorry, but I am going to stop now.

Sorry for your loss. When my dad died it effected me a lot more than I thought it would. I think about him a lot.

While I enjoy this thread because it celebrates the life of those who have passed, I have never liked the concept of Dead Pools which only celebrate deaths.

That is very kind of you, considering that I had completely forgotten about our bet. I *think* it was an +/- on her living past a certain age, but I'm clueless as to the betting line and the amount.

The only detail I remember was that, if she survived 2016, then the sides were switched and the stakes doubled. I am satisfied with our agreement. You earned it after all the teasing she did during the Pool.
