Hello All

I opened this group to create a clean and friendly environment for any players that want to enjoy the game.

Its seems someone has complained about our meetup group and it was shut down today. I have a very good idea who did this.

I'm asking the community for some assistants in returning the favor to this culprit.

If anyone is kind enough to lend us a hand, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just for clarity, you're asking someone from this forum to complain about a different meetup group to have their group shut down because they got yours shut down?

I really think this is something you should consider dealing with internally, or personally with the suspected person in question rather than trying to recruit support from here in this regard. It would seem to me that this is between you and them.

Yep, can't call it childish in one thread and ask someone else to do the same in another. One thing as well Wing, you might want to ask Ron to take your phone number off of the other meetup group page. I just checked and it's still on there.

I would just set up a new one and be a little more discreet this time. What was the reasoning for it being shut down? Were you bothering his members?

RON had nothing to do with getting his meet up or any other copycat club that opens shut down ,but choosing a location 5 minutes away did bother me alittle but TORONTO ACES are a strong group

You guys state your buyin (total including rebuys, optional fees, etc.), blind structure, how much goes into the prize pool (this is really important to people on here. Spill it. Some don't care as much as they're rec players. Others do and it's a crucial selling point.) Period. You're either spamming or trolling the forum and you'll be dealt with by a graduated scale of access.

At The Poker Place. We strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment for poker players (our members). Our goal between the Grand Opening Nov 1st to January next year is to send as many players to the 2014 Fallsview Classic $1k Buy-In. One seat will be given away at the Monthly Special for every $1000 accumulated from our nightly events. Any additional Buy-In at the Special will also goes towards the prize pool.

The details of all the events are posted on our meetup events calender at.

The Poker Place (Scarborough , ON) - Meetup

This is how the structure will work for our Nov 1st Grand Opening Event

$65 Buy-In - 12,500 Chips -

$55 to prize pool - $10 towards our Monthly Special (Amount collected each game and the accumulated total for the month will be posted at the club after each event.

The above applies to all Re-Buys as well.

$15 Door Option - 2500 Chips - This is optional but very much appreciated.
This goes towards expenses. You do not have to get this to play.

1-$10 Add-On at the 1st break for 5000 chips - $5.00 goes to the night's prize pool and $5 goes toward the Monthly Special.

For Example:

25 Buy-Ins x $65 = $1625
($1375 to Prize Pool & $250 to Monthly Special Prize Pool)

$15 Door Options goes toward club expenses (rent, hydro, gas, drinks, snacks, website........) 30 x $15 = $450

5 Rebuys x$65 = $325
($275 to Prize Pool & $50 to Monthly Special Prize Pool)

20 Add-Ons x $10 = $200
($100 to Prize Pool & $100 to Monthly Special Prize Pool)

Total Prize Pool = $1750 plus 3 seats to the Monthly Special Monthly
1 seat given away to the Monthly Special for every 10 Buy-Ins and Re-buys combined

Accumulated total towards the Monthly Special $400
