We get the same sort of argument every time... "Let's change the games to <Insert my favorite game here>." The major problem is that it is hard enough to fill teams with the current game mix where you can bring in Hold 'em players and teach them the basics of Omaha which plays pretty close to Hold 'em. (Not saying they're the same game - but you can convince a Hold 'em player that they are).
I think that the Royal does a good job of testing different formats of poker without alienating a lot of people that only know Hold 'em.
Most people do not want to play something where they know they are not going to know what is going on [It can also be frustrating for those who want to play the mix games, because although the questions allow you to spot to fish, they also slow down game play]. For those of us that love mix games that would be great, but it plays much better at the Moose casino or somewhere else where you will have 1 or 2 tables, not at an event like the Royal Cup.
