Had the opportunity to play this room last week during March Break (last year I played Seminole in Imokalee). Nice room with probably 30-40 tables. I went on a Wednesday night (the high hand each hour from 10 am until 1am got $1000) and the place was hopping. I arrived and was 8th on the list for a 1-2 NLHE and they started a new table right away. Bought in for $150 (table max was $200) and I was the big stack. One hand early against this old rock I had raised from MP with AJc and rock calls from BB. Flop brought an A and two clubs. Rock donk bets about 20% of pot. I raise and he just calls-now I think I have kicker problems. Turn is a blank and he again bets about 20% of the pot. I call and miss on the river. I do-foolishly in retrospect-pay him off and he shows AKo. A few hands later I pick up QQ and double up against JJ. I picked up AA twice and KK once and took those pots down on the flop. I played a couple of suited connectors looking for good flops but never really hit anything at all. Cashed out after 4 hours for $300. Great dealers, well run room. Competition was the usual range-probably 50% old retired rocks,20% knowledgeable and 30% gamboolers based on the 3 tables I played at. Saw a few hands that made me shake my head and laugh at other's misfortune:crazy guy calls $17 pre-flop with 25o against 4 opponents, then another $45 on the flop and catches his gut-shot on the turn to stack the initial raiser who had AA. Another guy calls an all in against 3-one all in and two callers- opponents with A3o and ends up against 22, AK and AQ. Spikes a 3 on the river to take it all down.
A good time though regardless of a win or loss and I will definitely play here again next year.

Nice report, always wanted to try Florida poker after they opened it up to NL.

Just booked Miami for March Break. They have some insane high hand promos..5/10 $3,000 every 30 minutes, etc. Might be staying in Naples.

Yes, but only on Weds. and I think its $1k every 30 mins on $1/$2. I will find the link.

Had a chance to play this room again over March Break. I got there around 7 pm on Wednesday night (high hand promotion in effect, $1000 per hour until 1 am). I am second on the list for $1-2 NLHE and get seated after about a 15 minute wait. I buy-in for $150 and am about average stack on a full 10 man table. The guy beside me is a local guy who plays regularly. He seems to know most of the people at the table and all of the dealers. He mentions that the only reason he is playing tonight is because he had to drop off some money to his buddy who was stuck (more on the buddy later).

WTF...not sure why that posted.
Anyway, the table was mostly older people but most of them had the gamble. I saw an old guy call $25 preflop and then $50 on the flop and $96 on the turn with a gutshot. He was furious when he missed on the river and complained about how he "had to call since he was due to hit". My new friend gladly stacked up the chips with his top two pair hand. I had easy decisions for the most part since I got terrible cards for the most part. I finally pick up QQ in MP. The UTG woman was a crazy chaser and she raised to $7, a 30 something guy makes it $18 (he had previously showed a number of hands such as:calling $75 on the river with AKo on a flush, straight and fullhouse possible board, going running K7 to make two pair to beat a guy's AA) so I felt pretty good against those two. I made it $50 and both called and then I took it down with a c-bet on the rainbow 9 high flop.
My next hand of note came with AA in MP. I re-raise the 30 something guy after he mad made it $10 to go to $45, crazy loose chaser lady calls and we are three handed to the flop. I bet $75 and take it down. My new buddy remarks that he is amazed I am getting paid since I have hardly played any hands. I go literally an hour without playing a hand until I pick up AA again. Same opponents and I take down another pot with my aces.
Now my new friend Jim had mentioned that he loaned his buddy money and all of a sudden this buddy, Joe, ends up at our table. Jim tells me that Joe overvalues middle pair and what an understatement that was!!! He donked off over $350 chasing that middle pair against random opponents. I can only imagine what he was stuck for the day. I was the benefactor for part of that money though so I can't complain. I picked up K10d in the BB and 7 people see a flop of 10, 10, 5. I check and a guy from MP makes it $10. One other caller (Joe) and I smooth call. The turn brings a 4. I check. Bettor checks and Joe makes a pot sized bet. I call and the initial bettor folds. River is a 4 and I figure that I need to bet since Joe will call me here with middle pair. I fire out about 1/3 pot bet and indeed he calls and mucks when I show my fullhouse. He claims he had 99 but who knows/cares.
I play tight and fold my garbage until I pick up A8d in the BB with 8 people in the hand for $2. The flop comes K910 with 2 diamonds. I fire out and a rock raises me. I am 95% certain he has the straight. Two other people call and I call knowing if I hit I will stack him. I blank the turn and fold to the bet he makes. He did get action from the otehr two though and dragged a nice pot with the flopped straight!

Lots of fun and I highly recommend playing this room!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention ended up with a profit of $205 after about 4 hours of play.

Was at Pompano today. $750 high hand every 15 MINUTES for St. Patrick's Day! Think there was 30 tables running when I left. No such luck for me, and I'm part Irish.
